A STITCH IN OUR TIME

On a sunny June morning, we had the priviledge of meeting Tasmin and Alice, founders of ‘A Stitch in our Time’. They started their inspiring initiative, after a talk on the beach one morning. They wanted to mark these strange times in a positive and creative way, and they felt passionate about connecting the whole community.
Tasmin and Alice are friends who find inspiration in their community. They enjoy sharing their love for the outdoors, sport and creativity with their local community. They go surfing and sailing, and Tasmin loves being part of the Sailability inititiative, where they enable people from all backgrounds to learn to sail.
During lockdown, I noticed a new foodbank in my neighbourhood, and it turns out, it was Tasmin who started it. They were distributing about 28 parcels a day at one stage.
We chose Tasmin and Alice as our Muses of the Week, as they are truly living La Dolce Vita by sharing with others, in any way they can.
